We are using stuff up. We have some Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, cheese and biscuits, dips, crusty bake-at-home rolls and Pringles... all washed down with some Cabernet Sauvignon and pink fizz.

What's on your New Year menu then?

Happy 2022 everyone :-)

Smoky bacon AND Fishfingers, Roy? I've never come across that combination before.

Bobbi, Christmas has worked out well for me this year with extra holidays and more time to do enhanced-rate overtime. I wish it could fall like this every year.

So you'll be having a rummage then, Arky? HNY to you too.

Been there, done that, Hopkirk. Lying down on your left side might help it to go down easier.

Sounds nice, Mamya. I haven't cooked that for ages.

Sharon, we did a leftovers curry the other day. It was really enjoyable and we have plenty of portions frozen down now.

Ooh, Pasta, let me know what those sausages are like. I might get some for OH if they're nice.

That sounds lovely, Rowan. I wanted to do some red cabbage for Christmas Dinner but I just had too much other stuff to do.

That sounds nice, Tamaris. I could just eat some of that sorbet now!

Kerry Lamb pot roast from yesterday - only this time with with cauli cheese and roasties and mint gravy.

I've just opened a tin of Quality Street and there were only 2 Green Triangles in the whole tin. I've a good mind to boycott them for life. Sheesh...

Sounds delicious, Dave. I do like lamb. I made a rather nice, experimental cauliflower cheese the other week. I topped the cauli cheese with slices of garlic bread that I cut up into small cubes and then with some remaining slices and some cooked crispy bacon I blitzed in the food processor I made a bacon / garlic crumb to sprinkle over the chopped garlic bread and it was really delicious. OH has asked me to make it again.
"Kerry Lamb pot roast from yesterday - only this time with with cauli cheese and roasties and mint gravy."

Oh God! Save me a seat.

We're having a take away of some description, probably a kebab. Not really looking forward to it but it's better than cooking, and I'm off out down the pub for a couple of hours.
If do red cabbage and apple I make a big batch in the slow cooker and freeze it as it takes a while and it's not worth doing in small amounts
Lasagne I think.
