I had the shock of my life in Asda today. A packet of Mr Kipling's Apple pies are now £2.35. I can remember paying a pound for these. So pudding tonight is just vanilla ice cream.

Chris I find them lacking in the apple department. As with Aldi's too. :-(
They are £1.90 in Tesco. I think they used to be £1.80 but quite often they were on special offer at £1. So the price rise of 10p is not too bad these days. They have some with 30% less sugar and they are £1.30 with a clubcard.
Mr Kipling makes exceedingly good profits.

Tell me about it Douglas!!!
£1.25 in Sainsbury's and Ocado; £1.50 in Iceland
I noticed a lot of favourite cakes have gone up. I used to by a slab of Tesco Madeira Cake. It used to be just over a £1, now it's 1.45!
Sometimes these places put the prices up so that can bring them down and claim it is a special reduction.

I noticed this recently at Sainsbugs. Lurpak was a ridiculous £4, then went up to an unbelievable £5.
Shortly afterwards they appeared at £4 with a red ticket to claim it was a special offer.
The price of Lurpak has been in the news a lot recently to highlight how much food has gone up due to inflation.
