Well cashier, they’re not ‘real’ real chips but the next best thing, fat extra special oven chips. Can’t remember the last time I made real chips, probably not since I ditched the chip pan about, ooh, 30 years ago.
And thank you for asking about the afternoon tea, it was lovely, mainly due to the venue. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were very nice but nothing exceptional, the service was very good, the champers (Moët) was really good. The weather and view from our table was wonderful, right across the Thames and way beyond into the Berkshire countryside.
Down to earth, perhaps I’d better put the fish fingers and chips on ;)
