In Aldi you can get a Terry's Chocolate Orange for 99p.

However if you have money to burn, you can always pop down to the Co-Op:

They’re actually £1.25 in the co op, £1.50 in acado.
Co-op ceased to be cheap years ago.

Do you still get a divi?
is that a proper one in Aldi, or one of their convincing looking copies?

Yes, it's the real deal.
Tesco lists a smaller size for £1.
The coop one is 200g the aldi one is 175g
There's something wrong with that photo - there is no such product as a 200g Chocolate Orange - they are currently 157g (including the 1932 competition version shown).

I suspect either photoshop or a pricing error (for which our local co-op used to be a regular offender).
As someone has pointed out, actually £1.25 in Co-Op for a slightly smaller size

Where was photo taken, the Chelsea or Harrogate branch?
They were reduced in weight from 175g to 157g in 2016 so it's safe to say both the weight and the price are wrong.
The barcode in the co-op relates to Terry's Chocolate Orange Truffles 200g - an entirely different product
And they're only £3.30.
DAVE, I was about to post the same thing!
Is this something from Facebook?
Regardless of the accuracy of the prices, prices are designed to make a profit, it's nothing to do with 'greed'.

Any retailer selling anything will sell it for the highest price and maximum profit it can, that's how retail functions.

It was a local Coop towards Wolverhampton. I was talking to my friend last night and she told me she and her husband popped in to see if they had anything interesting and she saw the product on the shelf and was shocked at the price. She sent me the photo via Whatsapp this morning and told me she'd just bought one in Aldi for 99p.

Maybe is a coop c0ckup but I doubt they'll sell many with that price ticket on ;)

yes, its a fake picture doing the rounds on FB
Oh well, nothing to see here, move along . !!
