What are your thoughts?
I pondered long and heard, read reviews, read all the discussions on AB, etc, etc, about airfryers, and decided not to buy an air fryer, one of the reasons being I really didn’t want another gadget sitting taking up room on the worktop.
Instead (we’ll, kind of instead, we were getting one anyway) we bought a microwave which is also a ‘proper’ fan oven, and is a much larger capacity than our previous 15 year old very basic one. It sits in the same space as the old one.
I’ve not used the big oven since we got it and am very pleased with the way it cooks food, this new one takes a big casserole pot and has a stand which allows me to cook two tiers.

My combi microwave has a jacket potato setting that cooks crispy jackets in 25 minutes

It's an old workhorse now, it's a Panasonic
So how long for a jacket potato in the oft-mentioned slow cooker ?

Another question for you Barry..am I right in thinking that you can have both (fan oven function and microwave function) going at the same time in yours?
I really must thoroughly read the instructions for mine.
PS. xek my new one is a Kenwood, gets good reviews.
I wouldn't cook jacket potatoes in a slow cooker.

Yes, I can, Vagus, and that's how I cook jacket potatoes.

Have just glanced through the instructions again and it seems mine can too. AND it has an air fryer function, who knew?????
That's made me laugh, Vagus. I suggest you try the air fryer out with oven chips, if you eat them. Something cheap and cheerful, anyway.
