I'd given up during the Black Friday sales...nothing in stock. I'd also decided against the Instant Pot as it would be too heavy for me.
Wednesday I was browsing Amazon and came across a warehouse deal on one of my choices...PLUS an extra 20% off at checkout.
I got the Cosori 4.7lt, and will probably test it out tomorrow. It came a day early and I'm not prepared for it...space on worktop and chicken out of freezer.
Tips and advice welcome.

Tip/advice: keep the chicken well hidden from young Toby/Tobias/Tubby xx
Got our Instant Vortex Plus last Saturday. We cooked a roast (Pork) on Sunday, chicken breasts, pork chops, roast veg and various chip or parmentier type potatoes. All with success but we can fine tune a bit though.
My ad vice is to just use it! iot will become apparent as you do. Cook maybe a tad cooler and maybe cooking time a bit shorter than you are used to but other than that experiment.
Lots of reciepes on line to help and a food thermometer from Amazon is about £8 and useful.
I bought parchment liners but I don't think they will get much use. I also bought an oil sprayer too.
So just use it and enjoy!
Got one a couple of months ago and use it frequently. Recommend using avocado oil in a spray bottle to prevent sticking. So far we’ve had great success with breaded fish fillets, chicken thighs, pork sausages, lamb loin chops, bacon and potato wedges. After use is a doddle to clean. Have tried the reheat function but think it’s probably quicker and cheaper on a gas hob. Have fun experimenting. There are loads of recipes and tips on-line.
I hope you will be very happy :)
Interesting. What attracted you to that model ? Do you have the link ? Should I recommend it to another who's keen to get an air frier ? TIA.

Here you go O-G. I'll probably try it out tomorrow and report back. I wanted one that I could do a chicken in,multiple portions, fish, quiche etc.
My big oven is on its last legs, and cooking in a halogen is hit and miss.

Cheers. I'll ask her if she is interested.
I also have just recently receive the same airfryer, although mine is a tad loarger, 5.5. You probably received the same recipe book as I did. i have tried the chicken wings, which turned out perfect, the bestI have ever made, and I have tried real chips, very good, and frozen oven chips, excellent. I think it needs a bit of grtting used to, but I love it so far. I have ordered a rack so can do multible levels at the same time and a silicone bowl ( same shape as the basket) if I cook something with a sauce, from *Ad which shall not be named*. Half price than Amazon, although it takes two or three weeks to arrive. Enjoy and experiment. Here in Spain there is a great Facebook group with tips and recipes, bet there is one in English too.
Ad that shall not be named = Ali………

You got the one I originally wanted, but it was constantly out of stock here in the UK. When I saw the deal on the slightly smaller one, I decided to go for it.
So I'll be testing it out with marinated chicken thighs and red peppers tonight. Looking forward to a new cooking adventure.
Question Author
I'll probably be looking for a silicon bowl or 2...loads on Amazon.
Ali is half price than Amazon Pasta
Question Author
I'll have a look. Thanks for the heads up.
Can I survive without an air fryer?
Question Author
Quite possibly. Depends on your needs...or those of the cook in your family. ;)
I'm hoping this fits in with mine.
Hopkirk, I thought I was only one without an airfryer
