Good evening, everyone.

Mince pies seem to have boosted my brain power a bit, enabling me to start off this week’s session with a score of SIX out of seven in the main quiz:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-63961592

They’ve done nothing to make me more childlike though, as I could only manage a paltry ONE out of five in the junior quiz:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51318780

My enlarged waistline, from eating all of those ruddy mince pies, might possibly be responsible for my lousy performance in the sprint event. Just FOUR out of ten for me :(

So, with my aggregate score of only 11 this week, I reckon that most of you will beat me easily enough!

Your turn!

Good evening, Sam. I'm still battlin' on, thank you. (I hope that you're well too!).

Thanks for allowing me to beat you this week ;-)

Well done, Patsy! You're well out in the lead at the moment!
6/7 v 5/7
1/5 v 2/5
4/10 v 5/10
Just 1 ahead of you this week !
Shady doesn't like this -4 degrees weather, he's not been out a lot this week. Earlier he strolled across the keyboard and typed a neat pppcc...........fortunately Wordle doesn't accept nonsense words.
Hope you are all keeping toasty :-))
Some lucky guesses, Buen :-))
Four and one.
Not good - but I came down with THE 'flu on Monday, so I've missed most of the week. 5./7 2/5 3/10
Going back to bed now. :(

Guesses all count, Patsy!

Hi, Haras2. Congratulations on beating me this week. I can understand Shady not liking the cold weather. My lot aren't too keen on it either! (Moonbeam has been the only one to get his only personal heater, placed next to my/his office chair downstairs. However bully-cat Chequers seems to have pushed him out of it tonight, so poor little Moonbeam is now upstairs with me and his sister). I hope that you and Shady can stay nice and warm together.

Oh, I seem to have beaten Cashier this week, which I don't do that often! (Better luck next week, Cashier - which might well be the Quiz of the Year if Aunty Beeb is doing her usual thing this year).

Hi, Jourdain2! Thanks for joining in, despite having the dreaded flu! Get well soon!
Well I'm stocked up on Mince Pies.

My scores this week are:-

3/7 - 1/5 - 6/10

The Children's quiz seems very hard! But managed a 1.

Good evening, Kwillmott.

Yes, the kids' quiz often seem harder than the grown-ups' one! (Well done on avoiding a zero score, and keeping me company with just 1, anyway!)
5,4,3 so not too brilliant, though I beat you by one, - more down to sausage rolls than mincepies this week!
Question Author
Hi, Roo.

I've never been a great fan of sausage rolls. (I put it down to having worked in a pork pie factory, between fifth form and 6th form at school, at the age of 16. So I know what goes into them!). However I do occasionally fancy one and the better quality ones these days don't seem too bad actually. (I had a lovely one from the coffee counter at Stowmarket rail station recently).

Well done on beating me, anyway!
Evening Chris. A so so week with my scores, 4/7, 3/5 and 5/10.

That's one of the better aggregate this week, it seems, Tony. Well done!

I was thinking of you just as you posted. That was because I'd been looking at this review on Gareth Morgan's YouTube channel and thinking that it might be the type of beer to appeal to you:

^^^ £21.50 for a case of 6 x 330ml bottles. (£5.95 carriage on a single case but free carriage on two or more):

I'm getting tempted!
Good Evening, Chris!
Not too bad this week
5/7, 3/5, 5/10
Am sure you will be appreciating those kitties sleeping on bed on these cold nights. I bet they act like little hot water bottles!
Enjoy a lovely weekend :-)
