Himself is off today so he took be out for an early lunch and a mooch round the garden centre, bought some root trainers, some more seeds and some seed potatoes.
Such fun, due to having lunch out dinner tonight will just be soup.
What’s happening with you anyone want to chat?

Really i just want to retire and not have to care about work. Since my daughter died, i cant seem to get the enthusiasm for much
Good afternoon Helen and Bednobs. It's lovely and sunny here again, a bit of sun makes all the difference doesn't it?
Nothing wrong in having a good moan Bednobs, I find it helps to put my thoughts in order.
You using the root trainers for sweetpeas RedHelen? I used to always have sweetpeas on the go, I love them in the house. But since moving here where I am adjacent to a field, I won't grow them any more because the keels always got full of ruddy rape seed beetles. Horrible, you go to have a sniff of the lovely perfume, and virtually inhale the damned bugs!

Bednobs, I seem to have endless enthusiasm for that too. Mr BM has a PhD in moaning though!
Ferlew, I simply wouldn't have the patience but that is very impressive.
RH - what spuds did you buy? We had Sharpes Express last year and I didn't like them at all. I think we are going for Charlottes this year. And for root trainers, use the inner tubes of toilet rolls. We'll put all our peas and beans in them and then they can go straight in the ground.

Good afternoon, I do so admire you ladies who are good at gardening. I once happened upon a pretty little flower growing all by itself and decided to nurture it - which I did quite lovingly. It turned out to be a rogue rapeseed plant blown in from surrounding fields! In my defence I had only just moved to the country from the city so had no idea what was growing in the fields… but that’s no defence really. Truth is I’m rubbish at gardening.
I used toilet rolls before but then went mouldy and I have a phobia of mould. BM so hence the reusable root trainer.
Not sure of the tatties, first early although tbh I have had better success with supermarket tatties in the past.
Naomi this is my 4 year of veggie growing and I love it. The fact that I can do nearly a whole meal from my garden is just a joy to me.
Plus it makes me feel like my dad is close
