Was totally delicious.
We had belly pork slices, cauliflower, carrot and potato mash/crush, gravy, and home made apple sauce.
And then the remainders of a box of chocs. And a few g&ts…. a Tanqueray No.10, a Bathtub, and an Islay.
Anyone had anything of note tonight? A takeaway, out for a meal, beans on toast???
I’m off to bed shortly, it’s been an interesting/difficult day and I’m glad it’s nearly over. Hope you’ve all had a nice day and an even nicer evening meal.

Well after all the pork pies and 3 pints of G instead of my usual 2 I’m having sourdough bread with salmon pate one glass of red and then going to bed.
Sleep well, Vagus. x
Nothing special made with mince beef and pork which I ordered by accident. So strained the fat off after frying the meat. Enough meat for 2 more meals now in freezer.

Anyway carrots and tender stem broccoli with it and perhaps mandarines and Greek yoghurt after.

I actually helped with the cooking tonight. Proud of myself

.
Large Haddock and chips mushy peas slice of bread and butter. Cup of tea . Non of that foreign rubbish for us.
Unusually we had an Indian delivered. I'm fit to burst after overeating Kashmir lamb with coconut rice, mushroom bhaji and a peshwari naan. Hope you have a better day tomorrow vagus, I had a rough day yesterday but a night's sleep can sometimes make things seem a lot better in the morning :-)

Sounds good, gness, apart from the three pints of Guinness, seriously, three pints??? I quote like a small glass of many beers, including Guinness and Newcastle Brown (amongst others) but the volume just does for me. No way could I consume three pints of anything!
Anyhow, enjoy your salmon pate & glass of red, and a good nights sleep x
For the last 2 hours I've been wondering what to have, to eat?
Not had our yet. The Spaggy Bol is still simmering on the hob.
Was the haddock carrying a passport? :-P
Pint and a glass usually, Vagus. 2 pints if it’s a long session. Someone got a round and included me. Was a struggle…..and I mean that! :-)

Have you decided yet, nicebloke?
Haven’t made spaghetti Bol in quite a while, Tilly, maybe time to cook up a batch, I always use beef and pork mince, and no tinned tomatoes, I like it very rich, thick and tasty.
Question Author
Well I’m glad you got some food down you, Helen, hope you’re feeling ok and still have your sense of taste with your bout of Covid. I’ve never taken to Tia Maria, I’m not keen on cold coffee flavour, but hope you enjoyed it.
We have just had chicken in a rich brandy sauce with fresh veg and a couple of glasses of viognier. Spag Bol was last night.
Yesterday I bought super fresh tomatoes in our small village shop and the freshest of broccoli heads. I went into town to purchase the meat and we had our main meal at lunch time.

Ribeye steak, a few chips, mushrooms, roasted broccoli florets with a little dash of extra virgin olive oil, seasoning and a tiny grating of lemon zest, tomatoes baked very gently in a low oven, with oil, seasoning and balsamic vinegar. Whilst the steak was resting I made a quick little sauce (double cream with black pepper, Boursin and finely chopped and cooked red onion) no fresh parsley but no matter, poured over the steak. OH ate it all bar 1 chip!

Hope you have a better day tomorrow, Vagus (((x)))
I forgot to mention that we have tiramisu for dessert. A little treat. :-)
Question Author
Ubasses, I have a bottle of Viognier awaiting our foreign visitors. I’m not quite so keen but they love it.
