I don't know what happened to the earlier thread on this, but the following from the link does not show the BBC at its best I'm afraid

Ultimately it matters not whether this individual is alive or dead, (It has to be said that people who've studied the footage reckon he looks pretty lifeless, if in one piece).but what is clear is that scores of senior officers, many or maybe most from Russia's southern military command, were eliminated in this strike. Which may be one reason for the current mayhem being unleashed on the occupying forces in Zaporizhzhya.

Pretending he was alive would, on the other hand, be rather daft, unless they can actually bring him back to life.

The "information war" point in the link above is wholly wrong: Ukraine can't possibly know whether that admiral is alive or dead unless they had picked up some intelligence. In which case if he's alive their intelligence is wrong. Otherwise they're doing it to wind up the Russians because plainly otherwise you are setting yourself for a fall.
and the same applies to the other side: you can only pretend someone hasn't died for so long

I would be surprised if Russians are aware that the Black Sea fleet HQ have been attacked and hit by missiles so the Russian Government do what they always do badly. Lie!!!
