I always found the joy of a slow cooker was you got the same result no matter how much effort you put into itI love cooking and have done it professionaly and I love showing off at dinner parties but I am also a lazy cook if it is just us so the slow cooker is perfect
thanks for your replies .I always brown it when i use the oven but i've googled a few slow cooker recipes and they didn't bother just rolled it in plain flour, so may give it a go x
I usually roll the meat in flour and turn over in frying pan for a few minutes, add the veg and salt, pepper, etc. Cook for about ten minutes then add all to the pre-heated slow cooker. A little more work but it turns out delish.
i ask quite a few cooking questions on here as i'm not a very good cook ,when younger my eldest sister helped mum in the kitchen i did other jobs like cleaning the ash out of fire and relaying it and cleaning shoes etc little brother did nothing (spoilt brat lol)they are both lovely though x
