I'm knocking up a chicken and prawn curry and OH is making some keema rice.  We have a nice Zinfandel and some pink fizz to go with and we'll probably be watching Saturday Night Takeaway.

It's funny you should say that, Sharon, I nearly changed my mind about making curry tonight and was going to go for a burger instead.  I'll have to hold that thought until another weekend.  Enjoy your burger! 

We've got steak and peppercorn sauce for Mother's Day tomorrow.

Very simple (and cheap!) for me this evening:
A Birds Eye Southern Fried Chicken Grill, with about a quarter of a can of baked beans and a well-buttered jacket potato. Followed by a tub of Banoffe Pie Kvarg.

Yes I got ribeye steak for tomorrow but undecided what sauce to have. I fancy Diane sauce as I have mushrooms, brandy & loads of cream.

Oh heavens, I hope he remembered to get some brandy for the sauce !!

That sounds like a lovely treat, Retro. I quite like Turkish cuisine. We went to a nice one in Liverpool once and feasted on Beyti kebab, among other things.

You can't beat a Greek Salad, Webbo, with some toasted pitta. Ribs would work well too. 

Chris, that sounds like the sort of mid-week meal OH and the son would have.  Very civilised indeed. I seldom bother with dinner in the week as I work most nights on my laptop.

Daughter No 2 arrived at lunchtime to introduce her new spaniel puppy (he's gorgeous) to our curmudgenly X-terrier - no blood was spilt, but it got growly and barky.  Anyway, she brought a baguette, cold meats, cheeses & salad so we had a really nice lunch.

Result?  OH had 2 boiled eggs & a bit of left-over baguette for dinner and I had a bacon sarnie!     We'll eat planned food tomorrow. 😊
