I been to botanist but not ivy and been told mixed reviews about it. I've booked both to secure it but I'll cancel one.

And you've been to the Ivy- albeit for afternoon tea rather than a meal- but that experience, coupled with a look at the food and drinks menu, should give you an idea of whether it's a good choice. I am not sure how our views matter- and you often ignore any suggestions from us anyway.

So when you said you'd had afternoon tea at The Ivy was it just a cup of tea rather than sandwiches and cakes (food) with tea? It should still have given you an idea of how good the place was for meals.
Anyway, just pick one. The venue and what colour top you wear are less imprtant than the company you are with. If you are good friends you can entertain each other with funny stories about jobs, guys, older men who fancy you, doggy tales, holidays, gossip...
