I think the nation has woken up to the error it has made.

It IS a message in that so many people feel sufficiently at odds with what Labour is doing to register their disapproval so soon. I don't think this has ever happened before.

557300.....

The public woke up within days of this bunch taking office - and since then practically ever day has brought new shock waves.  I don't think even the most loyal Labourite expected the disaster we got.

I feel a ( Just stop Starm) group evolving. :0) we will have to guard the motorway gantries, close the snooker venues and Art galleries. Stop B&Q selling any glue.

Never mind, there are more strikes to look forward to.  How soon till Keir & Co cave in?

Makes you wonder where the legal agitators are. It must be one of the worst cases of misrepresentation ever perpetrated to persuade people to enter into a contract based on trust. The lies over a number of years are all there for all to see and the subsequent damage being done to the people who were misled is wickedly evident. Where are the lawyers who so love to involve themselves in politics?

700k and rising!

Its going to smash 1 million

Regardless of how the number is, it doesn't mean it will be debated in the Commons.

This must be the first government in history to generate a petition like this so soon after taking office.

Most if not all who vote/ take part in  this pointless exercise will be the ones who may have lost their Christmas booze allowance

Don't forget those who are losing their jobs ....

13:38 what an utterly pathetic, childish response

I agree this voting is childish and stupid.

It is neither childish or stupid, it will let labour know they're not wanted.

13:49, it certainly will, good for the people signing the petition.

Whingeing won't push KS into U turns.

The petition isn't about u-turns.  It's about giving this bunch a well-deserved order of the boot.

nicebloke,

Elderly people having to decide between heating or eating is hardly whinging.
