Scary Stuff From Oxford University
News4 mins ago
My plans have changed and instead of having family to my house, I now need to make a xmas dinner for 8 in someone elses kitchen. However I won't have a lot of time in their kitchen to do it so I plan on cooking/prepping as much as I can at home and then transport it there to reheat.
I'm ok for the turkey and ham but would be interested in any suggestions of recipes for side dishes.
Thanks

Roasted carrots - cook in advance finish off in the oven along with the roasted potatoes.
There is not really a veg that you can't cook in advance and then reheat when you get there.
I always pre cook roasted potatoes using Mary Berry's recipe. I also cook cauliflower cheese in advance and we like parsnip and carrots mashed together. I buy M&S red cabbage as I can't be flaffed with that. All the veg can be microwaved and popped in a warm oven. The Brussels are simmering as we speak 😉
