...Starmer declares to the nation.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/keir-starmer-christmas-message-2024-b2669158.html

A message almost regal in its sentiment but does this arrogant little man really think anyone is going to be comforted, encouraged or cheered by that message?  He might hoodwink a few but that's the closest he'll get.

"The xmas story reminds us to reach out to one another, to care for one another...." - right oh! does he hear himself?

Thinks he's the bleedin King now! PMSL!

He is following in the foot steps of his predecessor as Sunak also gave a Christmas speech.

That's exactly what I thought, TTT.  His arrogance knows no bounds.  Patronising so and so.

Well, there are experts on arrogance and patronising here on AB, so I guess you are right.

Xmas greetings and goodwill to all.

Actually, I have Christmas message for Kier Starmer, but I'd better not post it or it will undoubtedly be deleted.

He certainly hasn't based himself on King Wenceslas.

Well done Sir Keir, and a very happy Christmas to you and your Family at no 10 Downing St and may you spend many, many more Christmases at this address.

If the choice is between being alone & having Starmer as my guide & companion, I think I'll take my chances on my own thank you.

gulliver he wont be at Downing Street for Christmas.  Guess what, he's going abroad again.  It would make a change for him to spend a bit of tim gae here and sort out the problems instead of gallivanting around the world giving our cash to other countries..  Can you hand on heart tell me what he has done so far to make this country better.  Plenty of words but as of yet nothing that I can see, unless you know different and are willing to let us know what they are.

LOL. Almost as arrogant as "We are all in this together"

sorry for the couple of typos

That was Covid wasn't it?  We were all in that together.

I've never liked him even before he was voted Labour leader always thought something about that Smarmy ***! I don't trust.

I put the stars.

The xmas story reminds us to reach out to one another, to care for one another.... hug a hoodie, anyone?

The pensioners sitting wrapped up in front of a small one-barred electric fire will take much comfort from his wise words.

They might even be inspired to turn it on for an hour or so.

I had to laugh at the Express this morning; they had a headline with words to the effect "Starmer jetting off for Christmas to help with the stress he's been under" with a picture of him with Blackpool Tower in the background.

He was going to his mum's but she's lost her winter fuel allowance so can't afford to put the heating on.

starmer on the world stage, look at me a statesman,,i don't think so.to smarmy

Naomi, I would expect Starmer's mum to be able to afford to put her heating on. Same as most pensioners who have 'lost' the WFA.

Question Author

He wasn't really going to his mum's, clover.  Well, he might have been.  Who knows?  😂
