for example - apple =53 calories, banana=95 calories, orange=59 cals, pear=68 cals and so on.
Depends on the quantity of fruit and type but fruit is relatively high in calories. For example a large banana has approx. 200 cals (the same as a bar of dairy milk!) An apple might have 70cals, a conference pear 60cals. So if you're eating one of each each day then you're consuming and extra 130cals.
Try including veg as snacks as even the higher calorie veg (carrot, sweetcorn, etc) are lower in calories than some fruits.
Agree with above posts, melon, pineapple and mango are particularly high in calories. Also, try to snack on chopped/ sliced red peppers as they are very good for detox, well .....ahem.... clearing you out so to speak..... and are very low in cals.
Some people view carrots, celery, cucumber, etc as negative in calories because they are so low that your body burns the cals in breaking down the food.
Two suggestions, one- nuts contain a lot of callories so twice a day might not be a good idea? I tried salads for lunch instead of bread - veg salad, normal salad and fruit salad to give variation - seemed to work well. In a bid to lower my cholesterol I'm now on oat cakes for lunch instead, with a side of salad........
second, to keep the weight of you will have to stick to the diet indefinitely, or change your living habits, can you do that?
