Will someone please try one for me so I don't waste 1.99 if I don't like it? While you're there, could you give those bread rolls filled with cream cheese a go. They sound gross. They are in the bakery dept, over by the baguettes. Cheers.

Mrs snook had the bread rolls with cream cheese filling the other day (oh, they were from Asda I think). She seemed to enjoy them. Well, there wasn't much snarlin' or growlin' so I guess they were okay. She had a couple with burgers in! Neither of us ever been tempted to try haggis though... you'll have to bite the bullet, part with two quid, and give it a go. Report back, we need to know how it was!
Have never tried Sainsbury's Veggie Haggis but the MacSween one is delicious...would never eat a real Haggis even if I did eat meat!! Great for brekkie!

Last year I had veggie & non veggie friends for Burns Night so I bought one of each. Both tasted good - in fact they tasted very similar, the veggie one was slightly drier but not markedly so.

As for the cheese things - I can't remember what they are called but basically bread rolls pre packed, filled with dairylea type cheese- my son will eat ANYTHING but asked me not to buy them again. My daughter said they were disgusting.

My mum used to make me eat Haggis every year on burns night. One year she bought a veggie one in the hopes that I might like it better. It was worse. This coming from a half-Scottish girl who wouldn't go near the normal stuff. I'm only sixteen now, but after several years of me refusing to eat the it she finally gave in and now makes me something different one night a year!

Thanks Iap, we gave it a go in the end too, as curiosity got the better of me. Mr S was none too keen (but he always hates nut roasts and things like that, tho he is a veggie too). I thought it was lovely, glad you liked it too!
