Can you drink the coconut milk that comes in cans?

I dont see why not...the BBC site includes a recipe for rice pudding which uses tinned coconut milk instead of cows milk?


I think The Cowboy means drinking it straight from the can, not cooking with it which is what it is made for. It has quite a high fat content so would be extremely sickly to drink. It is entirely different from the juice found in a fresh coconut. It is made by pulping the coconut flesh with water and straining out the fibres to give a smooth milk.
i agree with roger. U can though im not sure why u would want to. Its very calorie heavy and tastes quite bland
Its not too bland when you mix it with Pinapple juice and Bacardi.
Now Footbath that seems a great idea for a drink...am running off to buy some straight away!
