225g/8oz digestive wheatmeal biscuits, 100g/4oz butter 1x450g banoffee sauce ( asda sells it) 2 large ripe bananas, 3/4pint of double cream, 3/4 teaspoon instant coffee 1 tablespoon sugar.
crush up the biscuits until they are fine crumbs, melt the butter then mix in biscuits. press the mixture in to a lighty oiled flat tin, put in fridge to chil for 15 mins.
spread the banoffee sauce over the biscuit base, chop up bananas then put over the sauce.
lighty whip the cream adding the coffee and sugar whisk until soft peaks. put on to the bananas then swirl so it looks nice. chill for an hour.
to make it look even nicer you could drizzle some melted dark choc on top after it has been chilled.

...in a pan palce unopened tin of nestles condenced milk, cover with water , bring to the boil, simmer for 2 and a half hours, DO NOT LET THE PAN BOIL DRY!!...
allow tin to cool for an hour or so ( the tin of boiled toffee will keep unopened for a month or so, so you can boil a few cans at a time to save the hassle next time ) slice bananas over base, add cooled toffee, top with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa...

this is a quickie recipe for toffee sauce for you.
Gently heat together
284ml double cream
75g butter
125g soft brown sugar, i like dark but you can use light
bring the mixture to a vigorous boil and bubble for about 3-5 mins.
I serve this with bananas and ice cream with the toffee sauce still warm.
you may need a little more butter for the right consistency for banoffee pie.
