there was a scandal with rip off printer prices, but medicines seem to be almost as bad 8ml of optrex ear drops costs 4.25 -which if my sums are correct works out at a disgraceful 531.25 PER LITRE- whats worse is that optrx is crap - "clincally proven" - utter rubbish, and you cant email them your disatissfaction either (just as well as i got them on prescription)-are there any other per litre rip offs (scorpion venom is appartly most expensive

Some bottled water.
there's probably thousands, never thought of it like that before.
Zovirax - cold sore cream.
Costs a fiver - you get a big box and there is a teeny tiny tube right in the bottom with 2 squirts in it (and it always leaks in your pocket!)
Some of the cost for these products will be for the sterilisation process - you wouldn't want dirt or bacteria introduced into your eye. There is also (in the case of the zovirax anyway) the small but very reasonable matter of Glaxo Wellcome recouping the 600 million pounds plus it cost to get the drug through clinical trials when they patented it about 30 years ago.
