Anyone know if vice versa are still for sale?xxx

I remember all of the sweets mentioned so far. I actually had a packet of fruit salad flavour chewits tonight, cos my son got four packs for 50p at the shop, and I swiped one! However, I reckon I'm going back well further here! I remember around 1970 they brought out sweets called Junglies. like jelly babies but animal shaped and they came in a cube shaped box with bits of bright coloured jungle animals on them. You saved the boxes and then had animal building blocks (well, feeble, cardboard package ones!). The black junglie tasted rank, but the rest were great.

I remember THE most delicious little fondant bananas, coated in dark chocolate, and wrapped in gold foil with a little label round the middle, about half the size of a foam banana. Nobody remembers these.

My last is sweets called something like 'stroodles' or 'oodles'. It was a flat, apple shaped packet containing what looked like chocolate raisins but were tiny cubes of semi-dried chewy apple coated in chocolate.

does anyone remember any of these.

Ooooh just remembered. Black sambo chewing gum. YES black sambo! They were the size of black jacks, were black and tasted lovely, like aniseed. I remember waking up one morning with that chewing gum all stuck to my face and hair, I had fallen asleep chewing some. My mum was furious and spent hours trying to comb it out my hair. This was around 1972.

It's a very awkward situation to talk about, as I once innocently said that I fell asleep with a black sambo in my mouth. I think the people thought I was some kind of hideously racist nympho.

I know sweet cigarettes are considered somewhat un-pc nowadays but what about 'Pirate Gold' - may have the name wrong - small packet of what was supposed to be hand rolling tobacco but what actually made with, sweetened and shredded coconut with a brown food colouring. Amazing to think of nowadays, if you were to try to market it now you'd be lynched!

krusty - its still available!!

its on one of the site mentioned above (or one someone else has mentioned) i've been on them all and i can recall which its on)

Tudor crisps, sherbert dabs, blackcurrant pastilles, midget gems
Blyss - yes I remember tubes! My fave crisp snack was Rock'n Rollers, do you remember them? They were little helmet shaped snacks, salt n vinegar flavour. The flavour would get all concentrated inside them and oooh they were lovely! LOL. there was a picture of people wearing roller skates and helmets on the packet
