can anyone remember the chocolate cake with carnation cream in. I think it was a bero recipe

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.175 g sr flour, 200g sugar, 25g cocoa, 1/2 tsp salt, 100g marg, 2eggs beaten with 75ml evaporated milk, 75ml water,few drops vanilla essence.
Sieve flour,salt and cocoa. Rub in marg. Stir in eggs, essence and liquid,beat well. Grease and flour 2 tins(not loose bottomed) Divide mixture. Bake Gas 4, 180C 350F for 30 to 35mins.
Hope this is the one, in a very old Be-Ro book in my possession.
