Diamonds - where to buy conflict-free reasonable priced?
Can anyone recommend any web sites where I can get reasonable priced conflict-free diamonds from? - I know there are hundreds of sites to visit for conflict-free diamonds, and i have been looking at them! But I'm after somewhere recommended by anyone who has used them or somewhere that is an extra special bargain etc.
Also would be interested in any shops in Birmingham area or North London / Central London that might be good to check out.
I am looking for the best ring I can buy for 1500 and have been looking at diamond and setting separately. I'm getting a platinum setting and from what I've seen so far these are around the 500 mark - so that leaves 1000 for the diamond.
I really want to have a 1/2 carat princess cut diamond that is not less than colour: F, clarity:VVS2 cut: excellent/premium and symmetry/polish: VG/VG and I am also interested in making sure that the girdle of the diamond is medium-ish and that it has no fluorescence. (Not asking much am I !?) Not many sites will provide all this information - so that's where I get a bit lost.
Any help / advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

I guess you don't want what would be a special piece of jewellery to be tainted by the association with human suffering, but you need to be very careful then...
