steam generator iron

hello--- I am thinking of buying a steam generator iron after having weighed up the pros and cons of a steam generator iron versus a steam press. I would like to know does a steam generator iron leave the clothes damp and also any suggestions as to what's the best steam generator iron .many thanks in advance

I would absolutely recommend a steam generator iron- my mum has had one for a few years and when i use it i can completely tell the difference when i went back to using my ordianry one!so i have now also bought one, it is the russell hobbs purple one and i got it on sale half price!I have to say I wouldnt recommend the tefal ones as my mum had one of these at first and the wire kept coming out. she has a morphy richards one now and is very pleased with it. i wouldnt say they leave the clothes particularly damp although they do need to be aired before being put away. even if they are a bit a damp its worth it for the time and effort youll save!
