I wonder if ever Bakers and toaster manufacturers will get together and make one fit the other. How can you call your loaf a toastie if it is too big for the toaster..........or call it a toaster that has slots too small for the bread !!!
I thought we'd cracked it with the delicious thin sliced Vogel granary loaf which just fitted into the Lakeland toastie bags in our toaster. However Vogel have suddenly started to produce this particular loaf with much thicker slices so this method doesn't work any more.
Agree 100%!!! We made a cardboard template of the type of bread we normally use in a toaster, (full sized, thick sliced) and after some trial and error found one from Russel Hobbs model 92950. Makes great toast, but takes a long time.
