Has anyone bought a new jar and marmite and tasted it??

I've been a lover of marmite for many years now and recently bought a new big jar. For some reason it doesn't taste the same as it did before and not in a nice way! My Dad also bought a new jar (from a different shop) and ended up chucking it out as he thought it has gone off because of how it tasted, yet thats how it seems to taste now. I've checked the ingredients and they've not changed. Anyone else noticed a difference in the taste?
