The Vedas were the codification of science in ancient India. There are 27 chapters. The Ayurveda covers longevity and health. In those days they could not imagine separating health and religion - your way of life (religion) is what led to your good health. So in that sense your question doesn't have any meaning. The Ayurveda considers a person as a unity of consiousness (relation to the Universe), body (the interaction with your environment) and behaviour (religion).---When you are born you character is determined by three mystical forces the Vatta, Pitta and Kapha. In essence, Ayurveda is about keeping these three forces in balance. Hope this helps.
