Having tucked into a big bowl of Chicken Noodle soup to cheer me up, what's every one elses favourite comfort food? What do you eat to make you feel better when your down in the dumps?
Hello sft42... it is I, the humourless one ;o)
A big chunky Tesco white chocolate chip cookie, cup of hot, sweet Tetley and a punnet of raspberries. Yum!
Home-made macaroni cheese with pancetta, mushrooms, three types of cheese and a ton of cream in the sauce. And it has to be eaten straight out of the oven dish with a spoon.
At the moment, Entenmann's Carrot Cake is helping me sail through the post-Xmas doldrums. The fact it's two-for-one at Tescos at the moment though, isn't helping my waistline. Generally, though, anything chocolatey cheers me up especially Galaxy, peanut M&Ms, chunky Kit Kats and Smarties. Oh and barbecue Pringles.
I love tucking into a tub of 5 differnt flavoured ice cream frm co-op with chocolate sauce chips sprinkles all the trimmings!just what i need right now!
Well, I do love a peanut butter sandwich made with soft fresh white bread, not too much spread/butter, and lots of smooth peanut butter, with a glass of ice cold semi-skimmed milk! Also, I love the old-fashioned puddings, like creamed rice with a blob of jam, or tapioca or semolina, or anything with custard such as apple pie or apple crumble. DEE-licious!!!
Cake. Preferably coffee with butter icing on it, but will settle for almost anything if really fed up. Pudding will do if it comes with chocolate sauce. At work one of my friends and I get a cappuchino and a Topic when it all hits the fan. We always end up laughing - it works every time.
Anything fattening, an Indian, Chinese, chippy chips, chocolate (white or milk), Rib N' Saucy Nik Naks with a cold glass of milk, an italian meal! Cheesy garlic bread, spicy chicken pizza, the list is endless!! Plus lots of red wine to wash it down.
