I want to make a small chicken pie for myself with no artifical ingredients. Any suggestions please

Thanks a lot boo, but the leeks & wine would be out.
Your best bet would be if have some cold roast chicken leftovers ..otherwise use cooked chicken breast. Make a quantity of shortcrust pastry enough for your size pie dish .Line the dish ..in the meantime make a white sauce ..add the chopped chicken .sliced mushrooms , tablespoon of frozen peas ,tablespoon of sweetcorn ,season well with fresh chopped parsley a little salt and ground black pepper, or you can also crumble a chicken oxo into the mixture.Pour this into the lined dish .. brush the edges of the pastry put the lid on ,flute with a fork ,cut a slit in the top and brush with beaten egg. Bake in the centre of a medium oven for about forty to fifty minutes or until the pastry is golden.
P.S Forgot to mention ..you can add some chopped ham as well for a chicken and ham pie.

Thanks shaneystar2. I would have to leave out mushrooms,& sweetcorn. Blooming boring are n`t I. lol
You are welcome ...you can add any diced veg of your choice of course.Eg bell peppers,red and green ...It's just that the veg give that sort of pie a bit of colour on the plate.
Chicken and ham pie was a great favourite with my son until he went veggie on me !!

It`s a medical condition that makes me be cautious of additives, artificial colourings etc. I could quite easy not eat meat, but I`m married to a butcher lol

Make/buy pasrty.


Cook some ckicken/or use leftovers from the Sunday roast and add any veg you want or don't want. Add an undiluted can of Cambells Chicken soup. Cover with pastry, cook gas 7 for about 35 mins.



That should be Cambells Condensed Chicken soup, sorry.

Make pastry - dice some cooked chicken; make a white sauce and add diced veg of choice; season, mix and fill pie case; glaze pastry, make a steam vent and bake and enjoy. Try with filo pastry topping, with celery and spinach, with ham, with button mushrooms, with caramelised onions etc etc etc

Thanks for all your suggestions.I `ll have to check the labels on a few items before I make it & leave out somethings. At least it`ll be unique lol
