Microwave ovens always open to the left so right handed people can handle the controls and taking in and out the food. There are doors that open to upwards.

That's a good point. I'm right handed, so it had never occured to me, but my other half is left handed. Maybe that's why he has such trouble working it!

Im also right handed the subject was on a the Iain Lee London`s radio show today a caller wanted one because it interfered with the kitchen units.
