Is Bacardi & Coke regarded as a "girls" drink?

being a barmaid i wouldn't cosider it a predominantley girls drink, not like archers or taboo, neither would i consider it a mans drink like jd or rum. its funny when a person comes into the bar and then try guessing what they will order - its surprising how acurate we are!

i used to drink with a lad who was/is a hardcore drinker who only drank bicardi and coke....and a lot of them at that!!!!

And don't be fobbed off with Bacardi, there are other, better white rums out there.

Ahh! But the very best rums are matured in the same way as the best whiskies - in old sherry casks - and they turn out the same colour as whisky. White rums are cheapo.

I'm with heathfield on that - dark rums are the business, some lovely mature ones out there.

I only asked because a fella I know drinks it, and he's 59; when I told my daughter this, she said, 'Ooh, that's a "girl's" drink'.

As one of previous answers, drink Cuba libre with some decent Havana Club or other Cuban rum, rather than the Yankee kind (Bacardi's not Cuban anymore).
