Infact, I am not that keen on lettuce either. I love salad veggies like tomatos, beets, cabbage, celery, onoions, cucumber, beans, mmmm anything really apart from leaves. It just aint right - I imagine all the caterpillars that wanted to or have munched them already.

Yes, and no insect ever shows any interest in those other vegetables! I know a few other people who "don't do leaves" too - I generally like them and they're always mixed in with other stuff anyway. Two of the things in that list - beetroot and celery - make me heave. Beetroot is one of the most evil things on this planet. It looks, smells and tastes revolting. And you only need one molecule of beetroot to turn everything within a five mile radius that horrible permanganate purple colour. It's disgusting - food scraped from the very epicentre of Satan's a*se.
Rocket is nice, it had a very distinctive flavour but I wouldn't make a point of having it regularly. The market we get most of our veg from does a nice variety of different lettuces so we mix and match.
