Not including rent, food or drink and start-up costs (e.g. equipment), roughly how much does it cost to run a small cafe per day/week/month/year..? (so electricity, gas, etc) Thanks

give us a it of a clue:

1) What do you consider small - ie how many seats and how much takeaway

2) What sort of menu? I have been to cafes who only serve coffee & patisserries, to ones that serve cafe/bistro evening meals

3) What sort of hours are you looking at? - 7am - 3pm or earlier / later?

Are you really just asking for electricity, gas, water, telephone (ie utilities) or are you looking for the real outgoings - ie staff, rates (which would be dependent on rent), depreciation (equipment is not just a startup cost).

What about insurance? Again, location and size are important.

Without trying to sound obstructive, you are asking the equivalent of: Once I buy a car, how much will it cost to run?
Until you know every detail from annual mileage to age and sex of all the drivers, you cannot really answer the question.
Well that told you!!!!
If you need to ask these questions....it worries me that you are seeking to start a business!.
There may be help at the local council, they have advice for business somtimes at the Business Development type ofices .
