costs of running a cafe

Not including rent, food or drink and start-up costs (e.g. equipment), roughly how much does it cost to run a small cafe per day/week/month/year..? (so electricity, gas, etc) Thanks

1) What do you consider small - ie how many seats and how much takeaway
2) What sort of menu? I have been to cafes who only serve coffee & patisserries, to ones that serve cafe/bistro evening meals
3) What sort of hours are you looking at? - 7am - 3pm or earlier / later?
Are you really just asking for electricity, gas, water, telephone (ie utilities) or are you looking for the real outgoings - ie staff, rates (which would be dependent on rent), depreciation (equipment is not just a startup cost).
What about insurance? Again, location and size are important.
Without trying to sound obstructive, you are asking the equivalent of: Once I buy a car, how much will it cost to run?
Until you know every detail from annual mileage to age and sex of all the drivers, you cannot really answer the question.
