Has anyone got any good recipes using chickpeas, I'm doing the slimming world diet and thought they would be good to eat on green days, but don't quite know what to do with them.

Veggie chilli? I add chick peas aswell as kidney beans... broccolli, onions, carrots, courgettes, peppers, mushrooms, tinned toms, oregano, fresh chillies, chilli powder, pinch of curry powder, cumin and coriander and a handful of fresh coriander.... serve with rice.... and chopped red onions... and... grated cheese if your're allowed..... :-)
lol... sorry forgot to say add garlic clove/s... and you could always add a lean mince or chicken if you eat meat... and vegetable or meat stock....
Here's something simple and very useful. We use it over salads and in quick pasta dishes and acutally it's even pretty good as a side:

GARBANZOS ITALIENNE
1 lg. can (16 oz.) garbanzo beans, drained
1/3 c. red wine vinegar
4 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. grey salt
Dash of fresh ground pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. oregano
3 tbsp. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. parsley, chopped
1/2 sm. garlic, minced

Directions:
After draining beans, pour remaining ingredients over them and chill...
Spicy chick peas
(sorry I don't know the exact amounts, but just keep tasting it!)

1 can chick peas
1 can choppped tomatoes
small chopped onion
ground corriander
turmeric
chilli
garam masala

Fry off onion, add spices, add chick peas, add tomatoes, slowly add spices, some salt and pepper until spicy to your taste. Simmer until soft and yummy.
Enjoy with some nan bread.

You really can't go wrong if you add everything a bit at a time.
Good luck trying all these out!
Whoops, sorry, add some cumin too, it wouldn't taste the same without!
