When I was in Italy I had some Sambucca al Cafe... it was superb. Since then I have tried to find it but to no avail. I even tried making it by adding some fab coffee to ordinary Sambucca... crap Is it still available or is this another of those lovely things I'll only have memories of? Sherry x
As far as I'm aware, you just sprinkle coffee rgains on top of the sambucca and set light to it. Then, when it'd cooled down and the flavour of the coffee has infused, you drink it. I can't see how it could be any different on this side of the Dolomites.

Thank you mrrobbo15... I definatly will it sounds gorgeous
Thanks Brownlow but I think you mean the tradition of floating coffee beans on top and setting light to it. This is completely different. And besides the fire burns off the alcohol :0(
