The result of this is that you need more and more stimulants to feel normal. You keep pushing the body to produce more and more dopamine and adrenalin. Then it will suffer from adrenal exhaustion -the inability to produce chemicals for motivation and communication; apathy, depression, exhaustion and inability to cope then set in.
And that is exactly what my wife has Amara but won't own up to it. I once counted that she drank in one day 29 large mugs of coffee and 6 cans of red bull and she maintains that she doesn't have a coffee problem!!!!! She is now constantly tired ( which she says is down to having given birth in April) and lacking motivation, however she is motivated enough to get up and make herself another pot of coffee.... I really despair.Other than that her diet is excellent but she's going to kill herself if she's not careful.
Show her the answers on here - and try to persuade her to come off it. I am surprised your baby didn't have an addiction too? It is quite incredible what we do to our bodies, caffeine is a drug, but because it comes in jars and cans from the supermarket it is fine???!! Seriously she really needs to kick this habit, it is wearing her body out. With an addiction like that it is better to wean off gradually rather than stop - the withdrawal can be worse than other drugs. If you need more info just ask. Amara x
