Cup of tea in a morning

Who sang the song (which we think is from the 1970's) with the lyrics that go something like - "I like a nice cup of tea in the morning and a nice cup of tea for your tea, about this time of night, what goes down is right". Any idea?

I have tracked down what I think is the answer you are looking for. There is a version by The Damned on 'Damned But Not Forgotten' singer is Captain Sensible :)
