I used to be able get these from a local off-licence (many, many years ago), but haven't seen them around for years. Does anywhere still make / sell them....at all?

I've seen them in our local Kebab shop as a dessert.
Exactly ... but they dont taste as good when you are sober !
You go to the kebab shop when you're sober?!
and why ruin a good kebab with chilli sauce with a dessert?
Hi treacle tart,

Best ever Rum Babas were the ones that Fullers the bakers / tea/coffee shop used to sell...they never cheated with rum essence, but used the real thing - boy were they yummy!!
years n years n years ago kfc sold them.....they were lovely
I make them a few times a year as a treat. I got the recipe in a 'Gary Rhodes At The Table' book. They are a bit fiddly but well worth it.
