My aunt told me that squids are notorious for their high cholesterol content and to avoid them. I don't mind not taking squid but my fiance is a fan, so can anyone tell me if there is any link between squids and a high cholesterol content in them? TIA

Apparently squid has one of the higher levels of cholesterol amongst seafood, and whilst not being dangerously high, should be avoided if cholesterol levels are a concern for you.
I've heard that prawns are the worst offenders for high cholesterol... but i expect, as with squid, that you would have to eat a hell of a lot of it over a long period of time to come into any danger!
