Business Research Project

I have been trying to think of ideas for an area to base a research project on. I am much more interested in marketing than human resources or other business areas, so would rather base it in this area.

The trouble is, I can't think of an actual "problem" related to marketing (we were given an example of "Why is motivation so bad in X company"). It doesn't have to be specific to one company, just needs to be an "issue" that I could research into abit.

Any ideas more than welcome :)
