Thaw them and then on the day of the chicken dinner boil them in water sufficient to make enough gravy, about quarter pint per person and then some extra, for about 1 hour (half pint minimum). remove all livers from water and leave water, now called stock, to cool. Give livers to your dog (has your dog been sick, right, don't give them to it in future, they are too rich for it - my dog loves them and is OK).
At this point we may differ. Mix appropriate amount of Bisto with cold water and then add cooled stock gradually stirring all the time. Remove cooked chicken from the cooking pan (I assume we are talking roast chicken) and pour in gravy mix and bring to boil stirring all the time. Serve and enjoy.
