Mints or chewing gum will take the smell away from your mouth but a lot of the smell will be coming from your stomach

Takes some peppermint oil capsules to try and combat this
Cardomon? seeds have a good effect,a strong orangey taste. You could fill a little aspirin bottle with a mouthwash and have a little gargle now and then
chewing a piece of fresh parsel is supposed to help, but the best cure i know is to make sure the people you are going to be with have eaten garlic too then you can't smell it on each other
in wilkos or superdrug for around 99p you can buy a little spray to make your breath fresh.

Thanks for all your suggestions...What i forgot to say is thats its a girlies night out and am single ( if you know what i mean girls)
Strawberries are meant to help rid bad smells in the mouth and/or stomach. Other than that, if you get close to a guy, just tell him you've been to an Indian for dinner, i'm sure he'll understand!
(Oh if the restaurant doesn't do actual strawberries, strawberry ice cream is supposed to work just as good!)
I'm not sure of the strawberry thing but if it's true, then buy some in the supermarket and take 3 or 4 in your bag to eat after your meal. Remember also that your male suitor willalso have eaten and chances are these days that his meal will have contained garlic. Also if you are a bit of a gorgeous babe (and I'm sure you are) he really wont let that worry him.

I do agree with the parsley suggestion though. Again take a sprig of fresh parsley with you and chew on it after the meal. Restaurants will usually give you a sprig of parsley if you ask the waiter, but as this usually isn't a common ingredient in Indian cookery they may not have any.

good luck and hope you pull.
Where we used to live, one of the local Indian restaurants used to give each diner a quarter of an orange to suck after their meal. Incredibly it just took all the stale taste away and left your mouth feeling really refreshed. And it's healthy.
