After having had food poisioning from chicken that was only 2 days out after the bbd, i'd suggest you run a mile!! I have never felt so awful.
Your Turkey probably has enough salmoella bugs to kill off half the nation.

point taken, ill go out and get a sarnie
giving it a good sniff usually works but I wouldnt give that to my dog it would be really very bad if its 5 days over. Hope the sarnie was good !
Would depend if it was a Best before or a use by date... If it was meat then it would probably be a use by, which means exactly that, - use by the date on the pack, whereas a best before means that the product will be at its best until that date, then the quality would deteriorate, but still be ok to eat ( ususally get this on chocolate bars etc)
But if in doubt, chuck it
normy its definetly not going to have a 'Best Before' label on fresh meat. Any meat that has been in the fridge for that long and past its use by date should be discarded. Not worth getting ill over it.
Filthiestfis.....
I know its not going to have a BBD on meat, but that was what was asked in the question!
My additional information was exactly that
