baby food for hot weather
3 Answers
Our youngest is 8 months old and this hot weather is really getting to her. Normally a happy baby with a good appetite, she is off her food and very grouchy. I am giving her lots of milk and water but am worried she isn't eating enough. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can feed her please?
P.S. she is also teething so things with a 'bit of bight' would be good

Plenty of calories in the butter, carbohydrate in the bread to give her energy, so doesn't matter if she doesn't eat all that much of it. Crunchy to the first bite then goes soggy and easily swallowed, cheap and quick and easy to make so you won't be bothered if she turns her nose up at it after the first bite as you won't have spent a fortune and slaved over a hot stove for hours.
Our daughter went through the same thing - don't worry. She loved (and still does ) her fruit esp bananas, pears, mang and strawberries. All difefrent textures, full of goodness and something she could pick up and hold and feed herself - which she thought was ever so grown up. Slices of fruit alow for bite but without aggrovating any teething pains she may have been having. If you are still worried then you can always add a few drops of 'Mothers and childrens vitamin drops' to her milk - this was recommneded by our health visitor and available from your local pharmacy over the counter. Just remembered she like dried apricots too. Hope this helps and good luck.
