Christmas Pudding

Despite its name, why do we only (mostly) eat it at Xmas?
How many people have you heard say, '' I love Xmas Pud'', and when questioned how often they have it, ''only at Xmas''.
It's gorgeous ... I'd much rather have a plate of that than a turkey dinner anyday.
Why don't we eat it all the time?

No reason really why we can't eat it. Funnnily enough now you mention it the last time I ate it was last Christmas - hadn't given it much thought really.
Same with mince pies isn't it. Where do they go for 11 months of the year?
What do you have on yours naz? Like brandy sauce myself.
