christmas drinks

the guys here at work are on about going down the local pub on friday afternoon for christmas drinks, now i dnt really want to go as they are all men and i dont like them at the best of times, but if i dont go then i have to work, how do i get out of it, i really really dont want to work but i dont want to go for a drink with them either, xx;o)

if you went for a drink, had a couple, and then decided you had to leave would they make you go back to office or allow you to go home? Is the office closing early so that you can go for a drink?

Give it a go, just try and enjoy yourself, has to be better than working, you never know what may come of it.

I am about to go to lunch with a friend at work (male) and even though I get v nervous cos I really like him, I make myself do it.

Sometimes, fate is in our hands, it may change the way you think of them (and them of you!)

Hmmm, if you go with them, a lot of them will more than likely try it on and use drink as their excuse. But, I would go anyway as you get out of work. It just means you have to put up with their behaviour for a couple of hours...gotta be worth it.

Go for the drink. I always do and end up in the pub all night. Its great fun :-) and the lads pay :-)

whay dont you arrange for a friend to ring you on your phone (or better still at the pub, so the barmaid has to come and say you have a call) after you have been there about 45 mins, then if your having a shi11y tiem you can say 'somethings happenned' and youve gotta dash,or if your having a great time then you can just stay?? xx

Its xmas and its a time to have post work drinks. Don't be a sour face and just go! You can say 'i'll come for a couple but meeting some friends early evening'. Go in, have a couple. laugh along with their jokes, ask about their xmas break plans etc. general chit chat over 2 drinks. its a hour of your life !
