I use a can of chopped tomatos, then add things like basil, garlic, chopped fresh veg. Heat in a pan and pour it over the pasta. It is delicious, aslo you can add the cheese from your 'a' healthy extras (crated) to the top if you like. The pulped tomatos or passata is free also.
That should read (grated) not crated. :-/
I skin 4 plum tomatoes (put them in boiling water for one minute, then cold, doesn't matter if not all the skin comes off)then chop them roughly. Fry in fry light with some chopped garlic and lots of black pepper for about 5 mins. Add lots of chopped basil then stir into cooked pasta. It's really nice and doesn't go "watery" like some tomato based sauces can
I use this one on meat balls but it would be scrummy on pasta too.
2 onions (finely chopped)
1 level tbsp tom puree (half sin)
pinch grated nutmeg (I like a bit more though)
Tin chopped toms (14oz/400g)
half level tsp sugar substitute

You can either add it to the pan and simmer for 10 mins for a lumpy sauce or wizz it with a hand held blender thinggy first then simmer for 10 mins. I prefere it smooth and have been known to add a dash of worcester sauce or tabasco. (both free I think if not I am bad) Yum Yum. I have a book 100 sin free recipies. It is worth getting.
