8oz unsalted butter cut into cubes.
2 tbs golden syrup.
8oz broken up chocolate (dark or milk as per choice)
Pack of biscuits (eg rich tea of ginger nut) crushed to crumbs.
2oz chopped nuts eg hazelnuts or walnuts.
Place butter, chocolate and syrup in a heatproof glass bowl over a pan of not quite simmering water until it melts. Add the biscuit crumbs and nuts, mix well then place in a cake tin (line with clingfilm for ease of removal) and let it cool.
