Is blood pudding what I think it is?

Could someone describe this? When I heard about it I was literaly grossed-out. I'm American and we don't have blood pudding here.

Hey, don't be too grossed out... at least it's a fairly simple ingredient list so that you know what's in them! in contrast, I'd hate to think how many different undesirable floor sweepings go into those disgusting american rubbery hot dogs... :P

Mr. P's first job was in a bakery where they made their own black pudding ( as it's mainly called here ) in a huge vat.
In order to mix all the raw ingredients together, he was asked to get his whole arm in and just swill it around.
He threw up there and then and a promising career was brought to an abrupt end !
He still can't stand the sight of it today, although I quite like it. You might be pleasantly surprised if you tried it xx

We do have varities of blood puddings here in the U.S. In the German communities of the midwest it's known as Blutwurst and in the Cajun and Creole areas of Louisiana it's called Cajun Boudin. In the centers of Basque population here in the inter-mountain west (especially, Reno and Elko, Nevada, but also Johnson County, Wyoming) you'll find Morcillas Basca and Tripotx also called Lamb's Blood Sausage. While I agree it's not as commonly available here as in Europe or the U.K., one can find it...
